Style Pages for Family Living Magazine

Check out some of the most wearable Winter trends I reported on for Family Living Magazine and some styling tips on HOW TO WEAR!

ReviveThis AW we are seeing many new takes on older trends. Designers and brands have really looked to the past and redesigned many styles to create what we are seeing this Winter fashion season.

ColourThank goodness the neutral days are on the way out. We will always have our back colours although colour is back. If you are not feeling brave enough to wear bright colour or a little nervous to invest, why not look at injecting colour into your accessories with a cute bag or shoes! There are many ways to bring in this super-hot trend into your wardrobe this Winter. Have fun with it, remember that’s what fashion is meant to be!!

Plaid and ChecksA brief history in Plaid vs Checks. As both of these trends are heavily featuring this season I thought it was only right to give you an explanation of what is what with these two and their distinct differences. Firstly, I will look at Plaid. Plaid is a style derived from the Scottish ancestry who wore Tartan. Tartan was a very traditional pattern that is the same lines and colours running both horizontally and vertically. As time has gone by and fashion took over tradition, Plaid became the new Tartan with the lines and colours not matching the horizonal to the vertical or vice versa.
